Kitchen Design and Construction

According to estate agents adding a new kitchen or bathroom are the best ways of adding value to your property. Installing a kitchen can take a number of weeks, dependent on specification and design. This work can be extremely disruptive to your normal life (not to mention messy). However certainly a worthwhile investment, adding value to your property and also making your kitchen the real heart to your home.

Please have patience with our fitters whilst the works are taking place. We will have to remove the old kitchen which could mean a lot of dust and mess. Once the wall units are removed; we could find live plaster which will have to be removed and the walls re-plastered before any new base/wall units are fitted. No one knows what ‘lies beneath or behind’ if this happens the works can take longer than originally suggested and added costs will apply.

It is not our responsibility to remove white goods, please contact your local council who should be able to collect and dispose of these for you; we will of course remove all debris if required and may be included in the original estimate. We will also protect floors and carpets throughout the floor area and the runs from the kitchen to the skip/waste area.

Make friends with neighbours so you can use their oven/microwave if necessary and keep the number of local fast food outlets on hand for the kids! Be prepared to create a mini kitchen elsewhere in the property and stock up on freezer meals; please plan ahead! Don’t pack all the items away, keep plates and mugs handy. Design your kitchen as you want it and don’t let the suppliers sway you, remember the simple items. Washing machine, oven, hob, dishwasher and their accessibility, plan to use the best space available to achieve what you want and in conjunction with the service locations; we can of course move any services to match the new design!

The following pages show examples of classic designs and completed kitchen projects, some using ‘purchased kitchens’ from major suppliers after Plan B (UAE) Ltd have specified the exact design and material requirements along with production drawings. Other kitchen projects have used our own supplied units which use 18mm thick marine-ply specification carcasses along with client chosen laminates with synthetic or natural worktops. We are able to supply all electrical and plumbing materials which include certified installation staff!
